May 8, 2008 - Book Sale benefits CASA.
From 10:00AM through 8:00PM The Olde Village Book Cellar, in Lafayette Village, Lafayette, NJ held a book sale with a percentage of the days sales donated to CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc.
April 30, 2008 - CASA receives donation from NJ State Fair / Sussex County Farm and Horse Show.
During a reception on April 30, 2008, Barbara Ward and Mary Harrington, representing CASA of Morris and Sussex County, Inc., accepted a generous donation from the NJ State Fair / Sussex County Farm and Horse Show. This summer the show will run August 1 - 10 at the Fair Grounds, 37 Plotts Road, Augusta, NJ. Planned events include animal exhibitions, competitions including floral arrangements, home-made food items, and the works of local artists. Plans also include exhibits by vendors and non-profit-organizations, plenty of food and beverages, and local entertainers and concerts.

Governor Corzine proclaimed this date "CASA Child Advocate Day." The proclamation reads in part, "Whereas, the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs in New Jersey have established a distinguished record of public service protecting the safety and well-being of New Jersey's abused and neglected children, defending them from harm and ensuring that they are provided with the court-ordered services they need;..." January 15, 2008 - WSUS names CASA "Chosen Charity".
WSUS, Sussex County's most listened to radio station, named CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc. their Chosen Charity. CASA now has a direct link on the Community Menu at the top of the WSUS home page.. And WSUS airs public service announcements on behalf of CASA on their frequency of 102.3 FM. Special thanks to Maria Lake, daytime production director at WSUS, for making this happen.
On Thursday December 6, 2007, Neiman Marcus Short Hills and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc. (CASA) held a special fashion event to support CASA’s work on behalf of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. The highlight of the evening, held in the Neiman Marcus Short Hills Couture Salon, was the presentation of a spectacular array of holiday and resort accessories by Sandra Wilson, Neiman Marcus’s Accessories Fashion Director.
More than 50 guests, including CASA volunteers and supporters from Morris and Sussex Counties as well as a number of area attorneys – invited by CASA Trustee and event Co-Chair (along with fellow Trustee Carole Washington) Paula Castaldo of McElroy Deutsch Mulvaney & Carpenter – enjoyed the presentation and a lovely reception featuring champagne and a selection of hors d’oeuvres.
November 2, 2007 - Sussex County Association of REALTORS® Charitable Foundation event benefits CASA.
On Friday November 2, over 200 enthusiastic party goers sampled delicacies from Sussex County’s finest restaurants and bid on beautiful gift baskets and works of art created by prominent local and nationally known artists, all for the benefit of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Morris and Sussex Counties, Inc. (CASA). The night’s event “Palette to Palate” was organized and sponsored by the Sussex County Association of REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.
Each year, as a part of their program of outreach and service to the community the Sussex County Association of REALTORS® organizes a major fund raising event in support of a specific charity.
More than fourteen local Restaurants participated in the event which was held at Perona Farms in Andover Township. Music was provided by the Sussex County Youth Orchestra.
