The purpose of the Information Session is to provide you with an overview of the CASA program, information about the role of the volunteer, and an opportunity to ask additional questions. Prospective volunteers may attend an Information Session in either county.

STEP 3: Download and complete an application.

Applications may be mailed to the CASA office or brought to an information session. Be sure to include your essay with your application.

STEP 4: Schedule an interview.

An interview must be completed prior to training. Interviews are held in the CASA offices in both Morristown and Newton. The interview will last about one hour. Some additional time will be required for fingerprinting. Interviews will be scheduled in the order of receipt of applications and essays.

STEP 5: Attend training.

CASA Training is scheduled four times each year and consists of

  • 18 hours of classroom learning
  • 15 hours of independent study and preparation
  • 3 hours of Court observation
